Slavíkov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The difficult, hilly cycling loop “Ždírec n.D. – Sloupno – Veselý kopec – Radostín – Ždírec n.D.”, which runs predominantly on roads, passes through Slavíkov. It is suitable for road bikes and trekking bikes.

The “S Doubravkou Železnými horami” geocycling loop is approximately 38 km long and takes around three hours. It leads uphill through Slavíkov to Horní Vestec and uses Class III roads, asphalt, cycle paths, as well as forest and field tracks. The route leads to a transmission mast near the highest point at Vestec; this highest point is 668 m above sea level. From the transmission mast near Vestec, the route offers a first beautiful view to the east.

Landscape

The area around Slavíkov is characterised by agriculture and includes fields, meadows, ponds and forests. The “(Martovy) [Slavíkov u Chotěboře]” hill and Vestec hill are located in the vicinity of Slavíkov. In the wider regional surroundings of Slavíkov are the mountains Světka and Bučina.

The memorial lime tree “Štikovská lípa” grows in Štikov. The Štikov lookout above a quarry near the memorial lime tree “Štikovské lípy” offers a view of the Železné hory.
