Cibotín was founded by Sybot in the first half of the 13th century in connection with the settlement of this landscape for silver mining.

History and Culture

The Cibotínský mlýn was first mentioned in 1328 in the land register of Pohled Monastery and was completely rebuilt around 1670. The surviving mill building can be visited by prior arrangement. Cibotín is also home to a chapel with a memorial plaque commemorating those who fell in the First World War.
