Oudolen: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Oudoleň fruit tree avenue to the little cross runs along a restored 500-metre-long path. Forty apple trees, 30 pear trees, 30 cherry trees and 20 plum trees were planted along it. In the 2019 Avenue of the Year competition, it was named the winner in the Vysočina Region; at the same time, it provides animals with a habitat and bees with a source of food.

Nature

Oudoleň lies in the elongated valley of the Oudoleňský potok, also known as the Oudoleňka. The path to Hraběnčin křížek is used as a destination for walks or sought out as such. Oudoleň is a member of the Společenství obcí Podoubraví municipal association; for the association's territory, the regional portal lists numerous marked cycling and hiking trails.

Culture

The chapel in Oudoleň was built in 1926 to commemorate the soldiers who fell in the First World War from 1914 to 1918. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and its tower contains a bronze bell.

Hraběnčin křížek is also part of the village's history: the municipality restored it in 2019; a seat and an information board were also installed there. Hraběnčin křížek is already marked on a map of the Polná estate from 1780, on the path from Oudoleň to Jitkov. Old documents also mention Oudoleň in connection with a branch of the Liběcká Trail.

The traditional life of the village includes a traditional carnival procession and a traditional Christmas market, both held in Oudoleň.

Transport

Class III road 3509 runs through Oudoleň. Bus services operate from Oudoleň to Havlíčkův Brod, Přibyslav and Chotěboř.

Regional products

Mlýn Oudoleň produces and sells rye, wheat and spelt flour. The small family mill invites visitors to come to the mill in person and take a look around. At the Kryštofek family's mill in Oudoleň, rye flour is milled using original machinery built during the Second World War.
