The first written mention of Mezilesí dates back to 1352.

Culture and Townscape

The originally Gothic Church of St. James the Elder is the dominant landmark of the village and is listed as a legally protected cultural monument. The regional cycling route leads to this church in Mezilesí; due to its antiquity, it resembles a former watchtower.

In the Zelená Ves district, there is a protected statue of St. John of Nepomuk. Karbanův mlýn preserves the character of an original mill and forms a complex of residential and farm buildings with a small pond.

Cycling Tours

A cycling tour from Pacov is 41 km long and starts and ends in Pacov. It uses Class III roads, asphalt roads, cycle paths, as well as forest and field paths. On the way to Mezilesí, the route climbs and winds around Strážiště Mountain.

A cycle path also runs through Mezilesí.
