Lavičky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

On the village square in Lavičky stands the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk with a bell tower. It is an immovable cultural monument and forms part of the village’s central area. Inside, there is a stone altar and a polychrome statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Culture and Local History

The Church of Saint Zdislava in Lavičky is a modern church building constructed between 1991 and 1994. It has an interior wooden structure and was built by local residents, who contributed 13,000 hours of unpaid work. On 25 May 1996, it was consecrated as the world’s first church dedicated to Saint Zdislava.

In the Závist district, the bell tower stands in the centre of the district on road III/0026. It is a cultural monument with registration number 25090/7-4190, has been preserved in its historic form and can still be used for the community’s May devotions and pilgrimages.

Hiking and Cycling

A marked hiking trail leads from Velký Netínský rybník via Závist and Lavičky to Velké Meziříčí.

The “Po stopách poutníkových” route leads from Velké Meziříčí via Lavičky and Závist to Netín and back. It is considered a half-day trip for hikers, cyclists and families with small children.

The “Cestou literárních tvůrců” cycling route runs through Lavičky and Závist, continuing past ponds to Netín.

The mountains of Dědkovská hora, Ambrožný, Panský kopec and Hradiště are located around Lavičky.

Tradition and Events

The traditional Lavičská pouť took place in Lavičky from 22 to 24 May 2026. In 2026, it began at the local festival grounds with an open-air film screening.
