Jamné: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Jamné Chateau dates back to an original fortress from 1591. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 3 May 1958.

Culture and History

The Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Jamné has a central octagonal floor plan and was built between 1702 and 1705 on the site of an earlier chapel. The church has a rotating altar cross that formerly stood in the fields. Jamné is also home to the Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1740.

The Rytířsko hunting lodge was probably established by the Kounic family sometime after 1736. It is a rectangular, one-storey building with a mansard roof, dormer windows and a small turret.

Landscape and Trails

Important landscape features in the Jamné area include forests, waterways, ponds and valley floodplains. A blue-marked hiking trail runs through the cadastral area of Jamné. The 68-kilometre cycling circuit route 5215 also passes through the area. It starts and ends in Luka nad Jihlavou and is considered moderately difficult.

Transport Links and Cuisine

The D1 motorway runs through the cadastral area of Jamné. Exit 119 is approximately 2.5 kilometres west of the town centre. Rytířsko Restaurant serves Czech cuisine and welcomes both hotel guests and visitors from the surrounding area.
