Arnolec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Arnolec lies in a gentle hollow below the wooded elevation of Arnolecké hory. At the same time, the village is located on the southern slopes of Arnolecké hory below Havlina.

Nature

Rychtářský rybník, a protected area designated as a PP, lies within the cadastral area of Arnolec. The Rychtářský rybník area is also home to a large population of the specially protected plant species Coleanthus subtilis (Puchýřka útlá).

Culture and History

The Chapel of St. Wendelin in Arnolec is a Neo-Romanesque chapel built in 1874. It was restored from 2004 to 2007.

The Chapel of St. Anne was built in the 1670s and 1680s, is located in the fields south of Arnolec, and was completely restored in 2019.

The memorial plaque for Josef Toufar was unveiled on 20 October 1991.

The “Baba” reconciliation cross stands on the road between Stáj and Arnolec, approximately 1 km from Arnolec. The reconciliation cross known as “Baba” commemorates the violent death of a courier on the former route from Bohemia to Moravia.

Cycling Route

The “Přejezd Arnoleckých hor” cycling route passes through Arnolec and Stáj and then reaches the ridge of Arnolecké hory. It also lists Josef Toufar’s birthplace in Arnolec as a tourist attraction.
