Dyjice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dyjice is home to a motocross area called Dyjické mosty. Beginners and professionals can ride on the motocross track.

Activities and Trails

The Březinova Trail runs through Dyjice to Nová Říše. The Březinova Trail is associated with the poet Otokar Březina, cleared, and clearly marked.

Culture and History

On the rocky hilltop of Kočičí zámek above the Dyje River stands a small fortification with a circular residential area that has been heavily disturbed by later activity. Sparse finds date the existence of Kočičí zámek to the 13th and 14th centuries. On the accessible sides of Kočičí zámek, a partially filled-in semicircular ditch and an outer rampart protect the site.

The chapel on the village square in Dyjice was rebuilt in 1883 at the municipality’s expense and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Dyjice is also home to a reconciliation monument dating from 1693.

Nature and Springs

There is a chapel next to the U Loužku spring. A chapel and a cross stand above the U Loužku spring; several benches for church services are located nearby. The U Loužku spring feeds the Loužek pond.

The Rozsíčky pastures are home to notable trees. An old park and a forester’s lodge have been preserved at the Rozsíčky pastures.
