Hluboké is a place whose character reveals itself in the small details.

Culture

Hluboké is home to a small Protestant forest cemetery. There is also a small historic cemetery here, considered the smallest cemetery in the Czech Republic. On Hluboké village square stand a chapel dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a marble cross dating from 1906, and a memorial to the fallen heroes erected in 1946. Above Hluboké, on the road to Jinošov, there is a triangular masonry wayside shrine with a small roof.

Nature

The route of the traditional “Pochod kolem studánek” tourist hike runs around Hluboké; the hike takes place every year in May. The Chvojnice Reservoir is in the immediate vicinity of Hluboké and is visited by anglers. The hilly landscape around Hluboké is popular with cyclists.

Food and Drink

At the Svatojakubský Brewery, visitors can take part in a brewery tour with a tasting, which also includes the underground rooms. The Svatojakubský Brewery in Hluboké is located in the premises of a reconstructed traditional farmhouse and has been in operation since 2016. The restaurant at the Svatojakubský Brewery serves Czech cuisine with modern elements.
