Dukovany: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant Visitor Centre offers a guided tour with commentary and interactive exhibits illustrating the journey of the fuel, the production unit and the nuclear reactor. In addition, the Visitor Centre offers an interactive virtual tour of the plant’s controlled area.

Culture and history

Dukovany Castle Park is freely accessible. Dukovany Castle is a late Baroque château that was extensively reconstructed between 2015 and 2017. The castle tour includes the Pantehon Hall with original frescoes from 1790.

The Church of St. Wenceslas in Dukovany has Gothic origins dating back to the 13th century; its present appearance is late Baroque and dates from the 18th century. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul is also located in the vicinity of Dukovany.

The Dukovanské stezky have a history spanning more than 25 years and were held for the 27th time.

Nature and surroundings

The ruins of Rabštejn and Tempelštejn are located in the immediate vicinity of Dukovany. The Rabštejn ruins rise on a steep rock above the Jihlava River and preserve ramparts, moats and small remnants of the outer enclosing wall of the central area.

The Babí hora and Leskoun mountains are located in the surroundings of Dukovany. The Strašák hill is also situated nearby. In the wider regional surroundings of Dukovany lies Stříbrná hora mountain.
