Bezděkov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bezděkov can be explored from three very different perspectives: a moderately difficult, hilly road cycling route for racing bikes and trekking bikes, the wetlands of the Mokřadlo Nature Reserve, and the late Baroque architecture of Štěpánov Chateau.

Cycling

Route 5127 is a moderately difficult, hilly road cycling route for racing bikes and trekking bikes. Known as the Podoubravská Cycle Route 5127, it is divided into two sections measuring 20.7 km and 26.5 km.

Nature

The Mokřadlo Nature Reserve is located in the Železné hory Protected Landscape Area near Bezděkov. The nature reserve contains wet meadows and wetlands with numerous animal and plant species. A historical survey recorded a total of 145 vertebrate species there between 1997 and 2000.

Mokřadlo can be reached via a dirt track branching off the road between Podmoklany and Bezděkov.

The mountains of Bučina and Světka are located in the wider region around Bezděkov. The nearby hills also include Čertův stolek [Chotěboř] and Vestec.

Culture

Štěpánov Chateau was built in the second half of the 18th century. It is late Baroque in style and has a triangular floor plan, two wings, one storey, and a small tower. The renovated chateau can be used for celebrations, corporate events, and other social events.
