Výškov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Výškov’s elongated village square stands the large Baroque chapel. A mission cross stands in front of its entrance.

Culture and History

On the road to Třískolupy stands a statue of Jan enclosed by a wooden lattice. A farmer from the otherwise unknown settlement of Wischkowa is mentioned for the year 1057.

Landscape

Výškov lies in a fertile plain that borders the Sedlina lowland to the north. To the west and northwest, it gradually transitions into a plateau, from which the 285-metre-high Wachtberg hill rises.

The village landscape also includes a large communal pond surrounded by shade-providing trees and used for fish farming. Two smaller ponds nearby collect rainwater runoff.

The mountains of Raná, Oblík, Srdov and Dlouhá lie in the surroundings of Výškov. In the wider region are the ruins of Zřícenina Pravda, Hradek Oltářík, Hrádek and Sukoslav.
