Vchynice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vchynice is home to a Neolithic rondel that is more than 7,000 years old. It has a diameter of 43 metres, and its entrances are precisely aligned with the cardinal directions.

Culture and History

In the eastern part of Vchynice, above the village green, stands the Chapel of St Wenceslas. The stone-built structure has a rectangular floor plan and a semicircular apse. The year 1803 is inscribed on the keystone of its stone portal. Vchynice is also home to the late Baroque statue of St Wenceslas on a tall prismatic pedestal.

Vchynice gave its name to the noble Vchynský family, also known as Kinský.

Landscape

Vchynice lies at the foot of the České středohoří Mountains. Near a settlement on the edge of a forested area stands the protected wild service tree “Oskeruše u Radostic”.

Cultural Venue

Statek Vchynice is a cultural venue in the municipality of Vchynice. It provides the setting of a historic farmstead for wine tastings and theatre performances.
