Přestavlky U Roudnice Nad Labem: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
History and Village Character
The first written mention of Přestavlky dates back to 1227 and appears in a register of the property owned by a Benedictine convent. Numerous urn fields in the surrounding area show that the region was settled as early as pre-Christian times. During the Thirty Years’ War, Přestavlky was completely looted and burned down; the village was so devastated that it lay in ruins for several years.
The archaeological classification is also specific: the area “Přestavlky – intravilán vsi a okolí” is designated as an archaeological site in category ÚAN I. The historic village centre consists of a group of farmsteads. A chapel and farmsteads with distinctive gates featuring sun motifs stand on the large village square. Přestavlky is also home to a late Gothic stone wayside shrine; on the outskirts of Přestavlky, a niche chapel stands on the road to Nížebohy.
Nature
The Tvrdodolská svodnice, a regulated watercourse lined with riparian and accompanying vegetation, flows through the village centre. Above Přestavlky, a south-facing slope features forest-steppe vegetation, broad-leaved dry grasslands, thermophilous shrubs, and acidophilous, thermophilous oak forests on sand. There are no hiking trails in the Přestavlky area.
Cycling and Events
A stabilised riding route runs through Přestavlky along existing roads. A cyclocross area is located in the forest south of Přestavlky, hosting various sporting events. Mountain-bike races are held regularly in the same forest, including “Přestavlcký vlk”.
Established local traditions include the Přestavlky cross-country race, the cycling event “Přestavlky bez šlápnutí”, and firefighting competitions.
