Studeny: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Studený was first mentioned in writing in 1428. The summit of Studenec rises above the town to an elevation of 735 m above sea level. An iron observation tower was opened to the public on Studenec in 1888; in March 2009, the observation tower was repaired and reopened to the public.

Culture and History

Toffel’s Cross, a sacred monument above Studený, was restored as part of a restoration project and stands in the immediate vicinity of the path connecting Česká Kamenice and Chřibská. The School Cross in Studený was forged in 1798. The forge building on Studený’s village square housed the first classroom for children from Studený and Lipnice.

Landscape

The mountains Malý Buk, Klič, Bouřný, and Pěnkavči vrch are located around Studený. The historic site of Hirniskretzschen is also located in the vicinity of Studený. In the wider regional area around Studený are Hohnstein Castle and the Chapel of the Holy Trinity.
