Hostice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hoštice combines signposted trails, a diverse landscape, and a long settlement history. A red-marked hiking route begins at a railway station in Děčín III–Staré Město, leads through Hoštice nad Labem, and continues south to Buková hora.

Hiking and Cycling Paths

In the cadastral area of Hoštice nad Labem, a 460 m-long footpath from Všeraz to Hoštice is recorded. Also recorded there is a 46 m-long section from Nebočady to Hoštice as far as House No. 128. The 2024 update of the Ústecký Region cycling network records the designation “Děčín Lesná – XXXV Hoštice” in the Děčín–Lesná area.

Nature

In the cadastral area of Hoštice nad Labem, the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area and the Porta Bohemica European Site of Community Importance are listed among the natural features and protected areas. The landscape includes forest areas, arable land, and permanent grassland. Netterskoppe and Vrabinec are mountains in the immediate vicinity of Hoštice. Kozí vrch and Dobrná are mountains in the vicinity of Hoštice.

History and Culture

Hoštice was one of the ten settlements that developed in the first half of the first millennium AD in connection with the Děčany tribe. The historic settlement group to which Hoštice belonged emerged on both banks of the Labe. The ten settlements were named after tribal leaders known as Vladyks.

Střekov Castle is a castle in the vicinity of Hoštice. The wider region surrounding Hoštice also contains several historical sites: Hirniskretzschen is a historical site, Hrad Kysperk is a ruin, and the Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto is a historical site.
