Mradice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A notable landmark of Mradice is the Chapel of the 14 Holy Helpers. It was restored and consecrated in 2001. The Ohře also shapes the character of the locality: the river separates Mradice from Levonice.

Historical traces

About 500 metres west of the Mradice settlement, outside the built-up area on the banks of the Ohře, on the road between Mradice and Strkovice, stands the permanent light fortification SLO VEČ 10074 of type A-120Z. The associated plot is st.p.č. 137, measuring 102 m².

In the area south of Mradice lies the ruin Zřícenina Pravda. In the wider regional area northeast of Mradice are the ruins Hrádek, Hradek Oltářík and Hazmburk. When descending via the serpentine road from the east, the tower of Zámek Mradice is also visible.

Nature

The mountains Raná, Oblík, Srdov and Brník are located in the area northeast of Mradice. The Mradice Mill stands on the Ohře in the Mradice cadastral area. No flour is currently milled there; a small hydroelectric power station is in operation in the mill.

Routes

The fourth stage of the Ohře Cycle Route passes through Mradice at kilometre 45.9. The tourist route “Mariánské stezky” and Cycle Route 6 also run along the relevant section near the fortifications close to Mradice.

Geographical location

From Postoloprty, Mradice can be reached via roads 2501 and 225038 through Skupice; the distance is approximately 6 km. Mradice is located near the important II/225 road, which connects Žatec and Louny.
