Nová Ves V Horách: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The history of Nová Ves v Horách can be seen in concrete exhibits and buildings. The Novoveské Museum displays preserved exhibits illustrating life in the village’s houses, as well as a school from an earlier period. The museum also features wooden toys, whose local production began in the second half of the 18th century.

Culture and History

The late Baroque Church of St. Michael the Archangel, together with the adjoining rectory dating from the second half of the 18th century, is an important cultural monument in Nová Ves v Horách. The church was rebuilt between 1780 and 1784 and consecrated on 19 September 1784.

The cross-border adventure and educational trail “Two Countries – One Region” includes 22 stations and more than 30 information panels. It also features more than 20 play and knowledge elements; the trail is classified as moderately difficult. After 12 km, it ends in Lesná at Horský hotel Lesná.

In the Lesná section of the route between Lesná and Český Jiřetín are the Krušnohorský lidový dům folk museum and the Chapel of St. Anthony.
