Lišnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Within the administrative district of Most (ORP Most), Lišnice has the highest concentration of cultural monuments. Lišnice Castle is registered as a protected immovable cultural monument.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Lišnice is a Baroque building dating from 1717. The Lišnice brewery, including its beer cellars, forms part of an ensemble of heritage interest. The granary with a coat of arms is listed as a cultural heritage site in Lišnice.

The former early Gothic fortress in Lišnice is a building constructed entirely of stone with a gable roof, which served as the main seat of the locality before the completion of the castle. The former fortress is not accessible to visitors; it is used by the municipal office. The Baroque Calvary sculpture group in Lišnice village square bears the date 1741 and is protected as a monument.

Landscape and Geology

Lišnice was unaffected by coal mining. The area around Nemilkovský Pond is cited as one of three valuable landscape areas in the municipality of Lišnice.

The Porzellanite geological locality near Skyřice-Lišnice lies approximately 1 km north of Lišnice. It comprises outcrops and exposures of thin remnants of the productive Tertiary, which have undergone thermal metamorphism and were deposited on tuffites. The locality is classified as a geological locality recommended for statutory protection.

The mountains Dlouhá, Číčov, Bořeň [Bílina-Újezd] and Oblík are located in the vicinity of Lišnice. In the wider regional surroundings of Lišnice are the ruins of Sukoslav, Hradek Oltářík Castle, Osek Monastery and Hrádek.

Transport

Road III/2507 before Bečov in the direction of Volevčice was scheduled to be completely closed from spring to autumn 2026 due to the reconstruction of the road bridge. There was an operational interruption on bus route 545 from 16 March to 31 October 2026.
