Český Jiřetín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

An unusual historical detail of Český Jiřetín is the wooden Church of Saint John the Baptist: it was moved from Fláje to Český Jiřetín in 1969. Since its reconsecration in 1996, services have only been held there occasionally. The Fláje–Clausnitz floating canal, the oldest technical monument of its kind in Bohemia, is also part of the area’s history. It served its purpose for 243 years.

Landscape and Water Management

The artificial Jiřetín Waterfall channels water from the Fláje floating canal into the Flájský stream. This involves overcoming a difference in elevation of approximately 60 metres. The Fláje Dam is also located in the vicinity of Český Jiřetín; its dam wall is freely accessible in the vicinity of Český Jiřetín.
