The Church of St. Peter and Paul is considered the most important landmark of Kostomlaty pod Řípem. It was built in the late Romanesque period around 1230; the nave and apse have survived from its earliest construction phase. There is also a wayside shrine in front of the church.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Kostomlaty pod Řípem dates from 1285. A monument to those who fell in the First World War stands in the village. After 1945, it was supplemented with a plaque bearing the names of local residents who lost their lives in the Second World War.
