The Evaňská ravine protects semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub communities on calcareous soil, as well as oak-hornbeam forests transitioning into thermophilous oak forests and ravine forests. Rare species occur in this area, including the lady's slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus), the elongated stemless carline thistle (Carlina acaulis subsp. caulescens) and the horseshoe vetch (Hippocrepis comosa).

Mount Boušov is located in the vicinity of Evaň. The mountains Vinice, Košťál and Třešnovka are located in the area around Evaň.

Culture and History

The Ecce Homo Chapel is a small rectangular chapel measuring 3.39 metres in width and 2.42 metres in length, with a shallow-pitched gabled roof. It retains its original door leaves and the original metal grille protecting the glazed sections.

The Hazmburk ruins, Hrádek ruins and Hradek Oltářík ruins are located in the vicinity of Evaň. In the wider region around Evaň lies the historic site of the Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Help in Evaň was built in 1905 at the request of the dying Antonín Hrzán from Evaň. On 30 October 1906, it was consecrated by Dean Václav Oplt. Its restoration included removing vegetation, installing new roof trusses, reroofing the roof and repairing the damaged masonry.

The Chapel of Saint Joseph stands in the village square of Evaň and dates from the early 19th century.
