Hříškov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hříškov lies on the ridge of the Džbán Plateau. The terrain slopes down towards Louny and offers panoramic views of the Central Bohemian Uplands, the Most Basin and the distant massif of the Ore Mountains.

Nature and Landscape

The southern part of the municipality of Hříškov belongs to Džbán Nature Park. The Pochvalovská stráň supraregional biocentre, covering 77.5 hectares, also extends through the administrative area of Hříškov, in the district of Hvížďalka.

Culture and History

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built from donations by the residents of Hříškov; it was consecrated on 3 May 1841. Of the chapel’s original 14 Stations of the Cross images, 13 have survived to this day.

The stone Jewish synagogue in Hříškov was built in 1806 and demolished shortly after the Second World War.

Rural homestead No. 54 is listed among Hříškov’s immovable cultural monuments and heritage sites. It is an architecturally significant rural building complex; its defining features include its scale, the height of the roof ridge, the arrangement of the building volumes and the materials used.

Things to Do

An excursion through Hříškov and the surrounding forests can be combined with a walk along a lime-tree avenue with two menhirs.

A 57-kilometre cycle route connects Louny, Slaný and Kralupy nad Vltavou. Hříškov, at 403 metres above sea level, lies at the highest point of this route.

Public transport in Hříškov is provided by bus. The bus routes are defined within the municipality, and the stops cover the built-up part of the settlement.
