Domašín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Domašín is situated on a slope of the Ore Mountains at an average elevation of around 560 metres. The historic rural landscape of the village consisted of rolling rye fields, a few meadows and abundant pastureland.

Landscape

The Doupňák National Nature Monument is located between Domašín and Klášterec nad Ohří on Holubí vrch. It protects a mineral deposit containing varieties of quartz, including amethyst and jasper.

Mount Planina is located in the vicinity of Domašín. The mountains Mravenčák, Šumná and Tok are located in the surrounding area of Domašín.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Domašín dates from 1431. The chapel in Domašín, dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, was built in 1748 in the late Baroque style. In 2024, its exterior was renovated and it was fitted with a bell; in 2025, the interior was renovated, particularly the flooring, and a historic church pew was restored.

The historic mining of amethysts and agates is associated with Holubí vrch in the area between Ciboušov, Louchov and Domašín.

Nature Trails

The route to the Podmilesy nature monument leads from the site of the former settlement past a former mill to a pond on the Podmileský stream and is suitable for cycling and hiking. An educational trail through the entire municipality of Domašín, called Louchovsko-Petlersko, was announced.
