Culture and History

The Vrbasovo Museum features 19 permanent exhibitions and more than 5,000 exhibits. All exhibitions are accessible to wheelchair users.

Ždánice Renaissance Château was built at the end of the 16th century on the site of a former medieval fortress. Ždánice Château Park contains rare tree species. “Hody po staru” is a three-day harvest festival held in Ždánice in October.

The remains of the ramparts of the former Palánek Castle are located less than one kilometre north of Ždánice; they form Station 3 of the educational trail.

Cycling Route and Nature

The approximately 10-kilometre Ždánicko Cycling Route follows the former Ždánice–Uhřice railway line and passes through five municipalities in the microregion.

Ždánický les has been designated a nature park since 1996; deep deciduous forests are characteristic of both it and the Věteřovská vrchovina.
