Culture and History
The parish church of St. Wenceslas is an architecturally valuable Baroque building dating from 1734. The first documented mention of the Church of St. Wenceslas in Dolní Bojanovice dates back to 1398. The church tower is 31 metres high. The stone memorial cross known as Heyssigův kříž dates from 1724. It commemorates an accident in which the captain of the Hodonín estate lost his life at this site.
Traditions and Wine
Svatováclavské hody is celebrated on the last Sunday in September and begins with a festive mass in honour of St. Wenceslas, the parish patron saint. The Bojanovští vinaři winemakers’ association traditionally organises various forms of open wine cellar days in Dolní Bojanovice.
