Vnorovy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vnorovy lies on the left bank of the Morava, which touches the northern edge of the municipality. In the south, the Velička River flows through the cadastral area. The western part of the cadastral area is crisscrossed by a dense network of waterways, including the Morava, the meanders of the old Morava, the Baťa Canal and irrigation canals.

Water and Routes

The Baťa Canal opens for the boating season every year from May to October. A cycle path runs along the Baťa Canal; it is more than 80 kilometres long and passes through Vnorovy on the route between Veselí nad Moravou and Strážnice.

Fishing is possible on the Morava River in Vnorovy. Fishing is also possible in the former river channels of the Morava, which cover a water surface of approximately 100 hectares. Vnorovy lies in one of the warmest climate zones in the Czech Republic and is very well suited to summer recreation by the water and fishing.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Elizabeth of Thuringia in Vnorovy is a Neo-Gothic building with Art Nouveau elements and was constructed in 1909. The first written mention of the parish church in Vnorovy dates from 1378.

The Holy Trinity group in Vnorovy dates from 1745, while the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Vnorovy dates from 1747. The statue of Saint Florian in Lidéřovice dates from 1749. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary was built in 1898.

Customs and Events

Vnorovy has a tradition of decorating Easter eggs, weaving Easter whips known as korbáče, and making figures from corn husks. Original customs of the Slovácko region are also maintained in Vnorovy, including Easter, Christmas and church fair traditions.

The Vnorovské desítky Run will take place for the 38th time in 2026 and is described by the municipality as a traditional event.
