Skoronice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Skoronské búdy are a collection of wine cellars with a wine trail. Viticulture in Skoronice has been a tradition since the mid-18th century; the vineyards mainly grew the Lambart, Muškatel and Ryzlink grape varieties.

Culture and History

The municipal museum of Skoronice is located in the municipality’s oldest house, which dates from 1903. It includes an exhibition about the local Jízda králů and presents a depiction of folk housing in the Slovácko region from the first half of the 20th century.

The Church of St Florian in Skoronice is a single-nave building erected in 1885. The church contains a late Gothic wooden carving of the Skoronská Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus dating from the 15th century. The Baroque obelisk of St Francis in Skoronice dates from 1760. The Skoronice school, built in 1905, is considered an example of rural Art Nouveau architecture.

The Skoronská pouť is a well-known pilgrimage tradition held in September.

Otevřené sklepy ve Skoronicích is a long-established event at which visitors can taste wines from local winemakers directly at the place where they are produced.

Skoronský rybník is maintained to preserve the original biodiversity of its waters and surroundings and is also intended to serve the wider public as a place for recreation and relaxation. For 2026, “Naše ryby na váš stůl” is listed as an activity of the anglers of Skoronice.
