Rozseč Nad Kunštátem: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The “Cukl and Rozsečské Peat Bog” natural monument covers 17.53 hectares and comprises a distinctive landscape of peaty wetlands and meadows with two ponds, as well as specially protected plant and animal species, including protected amphibians that breed in the ponds.

Nature and Landscape

A spring section of the Rozsečský potok is located within this natural monument. Grass frogs and alpine newts are found there; a good population density of crayfish is also reported there.

Kuliška Hill lies in the immediate vicinity of Rozseč nad Kunštátem. The Sýkoř and Babylon mountains are located around the town, while Kočíko Hill lies in the wider regional surroundings of Rozseč nad Kunštátem.

Culture and Customs

The family of the poet František Halas originates from Rozseč nad Kunštátem; the conservation area established there is also named “Halasovo Kunštátsko”.

A historical ore deposit is mentioned as early as 1350. On Red Monday, the Easter custom of “Mrskút” is observed using an Easter switch.
