Nemochovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nemochovice is home to the Baroque church of St. Florian, which is a cultural monument. It features a late Renaissance columned high altar attributed to Melchior Kuntze from Freiberg and probably completed in 1605. The church also contains the Baroque statues Ecce Homo from 1769 and St. John of Nepomuk from 1713, which were installed there secondarily. The ensemble of monuments also includes a marble cross in front of the church, restored in 2013.

History and Remembrance

Nemochovice was honoured as a partisan municipality on 30 April 1965. The liberation monument in Nemochovice was ceremonially unveiled on 8 November 1980. A base of the Olga partisan unit was established in the Pospíšil family home in Špitálky.

Landscape and Trails

Nemochovice lies in a hollow amid hilly countryside, 10 km northeast of Bučovice and below Hradisko Hill. The cadastral area of Nemochovice includes 333.2110 hectares of forest. The red-marked trail leads from Nemochovice to the summit of Hradisko and from there onwards past the Zdravá Voda spring near Lhota to Švábenice. There is also a local cycling route in Nemochovice.

The yellow-marked Cesta partyzánského oddílu Olga trail begins in Brankovice and divides at the southern edge of Nemochovice. It runs through the Orlovická vrchovina highlands to Morkovice-Slížany.

Local Life and Activities

The Jezdecký den has been held annually in Nemochovice since 1981. The Nemochovice Volunteer Fire Brigade organises the traditional St. Bartholomew Festival. The multi-purpose sports field can be used for tennis, floorball, five-a-side football and volleyball; two table tennis tables are also available.

JK Farma Nemochovice invites experienced riders and complete beginners to take part. It is a community of riders, breeders, children and adults.

Library

The library in Nemochovice offers free book lending as well as free use of a computer and the internet. It also has a computer room.
