Hlubočany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The four-sided Chapel of Saint Florian stands in Hlubočany by the bridge on the road from Vyškov to Kučerov. It was built in 1935 on the site of an original Baroque rotunda chapel.

Culture and Village Character

Several houses have been preserved in Hlubočany that represent the folk architecture of the Haná region from the 19th century. The tradition of carol singing on the Feast of the Three Kings is also still maintained in the village.

Landscape

The Hlubočanský potok stream comes from Manerov and flows into the Rostěnický potok stream approximately 2 km below Hlubočany. An orchard stretches along the southern edge of the village. The wooded slopes of the Orlovická vrchovina uplands rise nearby to the east of Hlubočany.

Paths through the Surrounding Area

A red-marked hiking trail runs through Hlubočany from Skalice nad Svitavou to Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště. A cycle path connects the village with Vyškov; a bridleway also runs through Hlubočany.

Sport and Everyday Life

The sports complex in Hlubočany has a multifunctional sports field and a children's playground. A kiosk offering refreshments is available there, and volleyball and nohejbal tournaments take place at the sports complex in summer. During the day, Hlubočany is served by a regular and frequent bus service, including on Saturdays and Sundays.
