Němčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Němčice is located in the southwestern part of the Drahanská vrchovina. The southeastern part of the cadastral area of Němčice borders the Moravský kras.

Nature and Landscape

Forests consisting predominantly of coniferous trees surround Němčice on two sides and offer opportunities for walks in nature. East of Němčice, near the forest, there is a multipurpose water reservoir that is considered a popular area for health, recreation, and leisure.

Trails

A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Němčice along the Valchov–Němčice–Sloup–Propast Macocha–Skalní mlýn route. The hiking trails running through Němčice are part of the extensive tourist network of the Moravský kras.

Local cycling route 5117 runs outside the built-up area on the western side of the cadastral area of Němčice along the Blansko–Petrovice–Boskovice route. At the southwestern tip of the cadastral area of Němčice, cycling route 5204 connects to route 5117 and continues via Kuničky and Újezd u Boskovic to Boskovice.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas stands in an elevated position in the center of Němčice. Two bells from the 16th century hang in the tower of the Church of St. Nicholas. The Church of St. Nicholas, owned by the municipality, has been classified as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1993.

Skalka, west of Němčice above the Pálenec forester's lodge, is a site with a narrow strip of Devonian limestone; iron ore was mined there in the late 18th and 19th centuries. The Němčice windmill was built in 1840 by the miller Matuška.

In the vicinity of Němčice, Dům přírody Moravského krasu offers interactive indoor and outdoor exhibitions as well as a 3D cinema.
