Nature
The wooded surroundings and location in the Lysicko Nature Park shape the geographical setting of Štěchov. In the surrounding area, a red-marked branch leads from the valley to the ruins of Rychvald Castle. A red-marked trail also runs between Lačnov and Kunčina Ves, and it can be ridden by mountain bike.
History
The oldest written mention of Štěchov dates from 1385. In 1739, iron ore mining began in Lačnov for the ironworks in Blansko. Lead and silver were mined in Lačnov between 1750 and 1785. During this historic mining period, a hammer mill, that is, an ironworks, was also built there.
The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located in Lačnov u Lysic. Rychvald is also designated as an important archaeological site in the vicinity of Štěchov. Parts of the two-part castle remain at the ruins of Rychvald Castle, including moats, a rampart and the remains of a stone palas. Rychvald was probably built in the 14th century and fell into ruin in the first half of the 15th century.
