Černovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

One of Černovice’s distinctive natural features is Habrová. The nature monument is located in the cadastral area of Černovice u Kunštátu; it protects an exceptionally well-preserved remnant of one of the highest-lying near-natural stands dominated by hornbeam, with a species-rich herb layer. Remarkable rock formations can be found in the summit area of Habrová.

Nature and Landscape

The Ploník Nature Reserve extends into the cadastral area of Černovice u Kunštátu and protects wetlands and mature raised bogs of considerable landscape and botanical value. The Údolí Chlébského potoka European protected area is located in the Hornosvratecká vrchovina highlands, in the valley of the Chlébský potok between Chlébská and Černovice.

Hersica is also one of the nature monuments in the vicinity of the town. The area lies in the cadastral areas of Černovice u Kunštátu, Hluboké u Kunštátu and Bedřichov and includes woodland bog communities, highly endangered spring snowflakes and near-natural alder stands.

Culture and Traditions

The Church of Saint John the Baptist, with the adjoining cemetery, stands on a terrain terrace north of the historic town centre. The Černovice rectory was selected as one of the 32 best-restored cultural monuments in the region.

The Černovice Hody is a traditional festival featuring folk costumes and time-honoured customs, ending with a dance celebration. In Černovice, Hody traditionally takes place on the third Sunday in October.

Cycle Path

Cycle route 5142 runs along the Letovice–Hodůvka route via Kunštát, Sychotín, Hluboké u Kunštátu, Tasovice and Černovice.

The immediate vicinity of Černovice includes Kuliška, a mountain, and Sýkoř, also a mountain. Babylon and Střela, both mountains, are also located around Černovice.
