Drnovice U Lysic: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity is a late Gothic church dating from 1526, built on the site of an older chapel. Its single-nave structure, five-sided chancel with sacristy, and clock tower rising over 34 metres define the building. As a protected cultural monument, it belongs to a type of church that is rare in the region; it was built outside the settlement in two construction phases.

Culture and History

The village’s architectural character also includes the protected Panský zemědělský dvůr, with its residential and farm buildings arranged around a rectangular courtyard, as well as the Baroque statue of Saint Florian. It is also a protected cultural monument and a distinctive feature shaping the village square. A fortress is also thought to have already existed in Drnovice at that time; it was first mentioned in 1391.

Nature

The Lysická obora Nature Monument extends over 1.108 ha of forested area into the cadastral territory of Drnovice. The game preserve protects a particularly valuable and diverse mixture of culturally influenced and near-natural forest stands of different ages, old avenues, and remnants of the original park. At the same time, it is a unique refuge for birds.

The Lysicko Nature Park extends into the territory of the municipality of Drnovice in its western part.

Cycling

Cycle Route No. 5141 runs from Kunštát via Zbraslavec, Drnovice, Lysice, Žerůtky and Býkovice to Černá Hora. Along the cycle route there are six rest areas, five of them covered, twelve information boards, and the necessary facilities.
