It presents a military hospital, the uniforms of a surgeon and his assistant, replicas of firearms and edged weapons, as well as artillery and drummer equipment.

The vibrant folklore traditions from the border region between Valašsko and Záhoří also have a firm highlight in Bystřice pod Hostýnem: every two years, they culminate in the international festival “Na rynku v Bystřici”.

The Hostýnské vrchy cycle bus runs from Zlín via Troják and Tesák to Bystřice pod Hostýnem and back.
