Borač: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Borač is located on the Svratka River and in the southwestern part of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. The nature park protects the character of the landscape while also enabling environmentally compatible tourism and recreation.

Nature

The mountains Sýkoř, Víckov, Babylon and Střela are located in the vicinity of Borač. The educational trail “KRAJINOU JOSEFA UHRA ZA POZNÁNÍM A POUČENÍM” also runs near Borač and is connected to the cycling and hiking trail network.

The Nové Město na Moravě–Tišnov railway line runs through Borač.

Culture

A bridge over the Svratka carries a local road from Borač to Podolí. It was built in 1910 and is an unusual testimony to the history of bridge construction in the early 20th century. On the outskirts of Borač, on the road to Štěpánovice, stands the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary; the year 1853 is inscribed above its entrance. The brick wayside shrine on the road to Doubravník is a small sacred structure in the late Baroque style and a valuable cultural and historical monument on the outskirts of Borač. The bell of the Zvonička v Podolí bears the year 1744.
