Česká is located in the Bobravská vrchovina highlands, more precisely in the Řečkovicko-kuřimský prolom area. Nearby is the hilly landscape of Baba Nature Park, which is suitable for recreation and active leisure activities.
Nature
The Šiberná nature monument is located on the northern cadastral boundary of Česká. The wooded Kuřimská hora ridge forms the western cadastral boundary and is part of Baba Nature Park. At the eastern edge of the cadastral area lies the Ponávka Valley with a cascade of several ponds. There are wetlands with numerous marsh plants; frogs and grass snakes live in the area.
Trails and events
A tourist route between Kuřim and Bystrc runs through Baba Nature Park. The marked Stezka zdraví health trail, equipped with information boards, also runs through the Ponávka Valley. For cyclists, the Přejezd Moravy event runs from the border crossing into Poland to Česká; the route is approximately 150 kilometres long.
Culture
The stone bell tower in Česká was built at the end of the 18th century, and a chapel was added in 1902. Its bell was cast in 1813 and brought from Brno. At the intersection of the roads to Lelekovice stands a stone cross erected by the municipality of Cinsendorf in 1883. The memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars in Česká was created in 1921. The local Čedivadlo in Česká is also growing in popularity.
Events
The Hody festival takes place in Česká every year. The Pálení čarodějnic event held there is particularly popular with children. The Pohádkový les event also takes place on the occasion of Children's Day.
