Thurmplandles: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At Věžovatá Pláně, a mountain ridge rising from the Kaplická furrow separates the valleys of the Malše and the Vltava. The plain on which Věžovatá Pláně lies is surrounded by wooded slopes; from there, beautiful views stretch for dozens of kilometres, including as far as the České Budějovice Basin, where the Malše and Vltava converge. On its southern side, Věžovatá Pláně also forms the boundary and gateway to Poluška Nature Park, which is named after the 919 m-high mountain of the same name.

Church and Tradition

At the centre of Věžovatá Pláně stands St. Anne’s Church, a single-nave masonry church with a three-sided apse. It was built in 1800 on the site of an older wooden church, and the tower was added in 1870.

The Vitoraz Association of the Baráčníci in Věžovatá Pláně preserves the tradition of Staročeská Beseda, a Czech folk dance.

Trails and Winter Sports

A cycle path runs through Věžovatá Pláně, and two hiking trails also pass through the village. Věžovatá Pláně is one of the most important starting points for access to the Poluška area.

The Kozí Pláně ski resort offers night skiing on a floodlit ski slope. It is located five minutes from the Kaplice–nádraží exit of the D3 motorway.
