Včelná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Včelná lies by the hilly Rožnovský les forest and not far from the Vltava. Large parts of the village are surrounded by forest. The “Kolem mohyl” hiking trail offers a view of the České Budějovice valley to the north.

Nature

The “Kolem mohyl” hiking trail is described as moderately difficult to very demanding. It passes the last representative haciendas of Včelná.

The “Včelná–Rožnov” cycle path also runs through the cadastral area of Včelná. It leads from the Včelná–Pod tratí stop towards České Budějovice.

Culture

The settlement of Včelná emerged spontaneously in 1784 along the new imperial road from Budějovice to Linz. Another trace of the history of transport is Watch House No. 3: counted from the northernmost point of the Czech section of the horse railway, it is the second watch house preserved to this day.

The niche chapel “Na rozloučenou” in Včelná is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk and dates from the first half of the 19th century. It was reconsecrated in 2004, and the saint’s statue was also restored.

Včelná is also home to the private Chapel of Our Lady, a pseudo-Baroque chapel with a small bell tower. It was built in 1900 by the family of Karel Černý and the Vycpálek family from Plzeň.

Leisure

Tikalka Leisure Park comprises a multi-purpose sports field, a skate park, a workout area and table tennis. The leisure park has an online reservation system.

Transport Connections

Včelná railway station is located on line 196 between České Budějovice and Summerau. Včelná is also within the urban public transport network.
