Culture and History

The first written mention of Bečice dates back to 1396. Every year in Bečice, a traditional pilgrimage takes place on the Sunday before the patron saint’s feast day on 15 June. In the Bečický les forest, there is a historic national cultural monument with a burial mound field. The central area of Bečice, with the Chapel of St Vitus, includes pastures and a green space in front of the chapel, which continues southeast across Road II/147.

The Hvížďalka recreational area, with a holiday home development connected to the Bečický rybník pond, is located in the northern cadastral area of Bečice.
