Chraschtian: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
The Church of St. Bartholomew is the defining building of Chrášťany. It was remodelled in the Baroque period and preserves a portal from the original Gothic church. The surviving south portal is an early Gothic architectural element dating from the late 13th century.

The traditional pilgrimage to St. Bartholomew’s takes place on the Sunday after 24 August.
Nature
Plziny Nature Park, a forest complex, extends into the eastern part of the cadastral area of Chrášťany.
Routes and excursions
Cycle route No. 1137 runs through Chrášťany. A cycling tour from Chrášťany to Týn nad Vltavou follows Road 105 through Koloměřice to Koloděje nad Lužnicí (6 km), then continues along cycle route 1093 to Týn nad Vltavou (3 km). Another cycling tour leads from Chrášťany to Bechyně and optionally onwards to the Černická obora game reserve.
Regular bus services connect Chrášťany with Týn nad Vltavou and Bechyně. Local hiking trails offer opportunities for walks in the picturesque surroundings of Chrášťany.
The flooded Nový Mlýn is the destination of a short excursion suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. When the water level of the Vltava is low, the ancient flooded Nový Mlýn becomes visible on the right bank. The excursion begins in the village square of Chrášťany and leads via Doubravka and Doubrava onwards to the Rybárna settlement and across fields to the Vltava.
