Water and Routes

The Starov waterway is part of the non-trout fishing grounds Volyňka 2. Cycle Route 1071 connects Starov on the same route with Zechovice and Volyně.

Above the settlement of Starov lie the ponds Hradčanský horní, Hradčanský prostřední and Hradčanský dolní.

Culture and History

The Volyně Town Museum is still housed in the medieval fortress of Volyně. It presents extensive collections from Volyně and the wider foothills of the Šumava and is currently open year-round.

Starov's historic heritage includes the rural farmstead at house number 8. Under ÚSKP registration number 5164, it is one of the immovable cultural monuments. The agricultural farmstead in Starov is designated with ÚSKP registration number 5164.
