Slapy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the middle of Slapy village square stands a chapel built in 1911. The local folkloric tradition of Slapský Bahňák is also maintained in the village.

Culture

Slapy’s cultural monuments include a South Bohemian farmhouse dating from the 18th century. The Church of Saint Anne is located in the vicinity of Slapy, while the Church of Saint John lies in the wider regional surroundings of Slapy.

Landscape

A pond with shoreline vegetation and trees along its right bank lies on the Slapský stream. Four permanent bodies of water ranging in size from 0.15 to 0.9 hectares are located in the cadastral area of Slapy; one of them, within Slapy itself, also serves as a fire-water reservoir.

Getting Around

The “From Tábor with Jan Žižka” cycling tour through Hussite country leads from Tábor via Klokoty, Větrov, Slapy and Dražičky to Příběnice Castle.

The 23rd edition of the “From Tábor All the Way to Us” hiking event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, and ends in Slapy. The recommended route is from the Tábor bus station via Pintovka, Hnojná Lhotka and the quarry near Dražičky to Slapy.
