Slabčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A prominent landmark on the village square in Slabčice is the Church of St. Joseph. It is an immovable cultural monument listed in the central heritage register and was consecrated in 1900.

Culture and History

Near Nemějice, the stone circle lies beneath Tábor Hill, to the west below the mountain. It has a diameter of 8 metres and consists of a central stone and 16 outer stones, 4 of which mark the cardinal directions. The archaeological cultural site and barrow cemetery at Nemějice contain 33 burial mounds.

Burkovák is a unique Hallstatt-period cultural site of European significance. In the vicinity of Burkovák are two barrow cemeteries dating from the Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period. Mount Burkovák, also known as Tábor Hill, was a destination for religious gatherings in the Middle Ages. The celebrations on Tábor Hill were revived in the early 1990s and have taken place annually ever since.

The U dvou Lip Chapel in Písecká Smoleč is one of the sights of Slabčice. The Church of St. John is located in the immediate vicinity of Slabčice and also within the area of the village. In the wider regional surroundings of Slabčice are Zvíkov Castle and the historic site Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Roma and Sinti Holocaust in Bohemia.

The mountains Obora, Ulčí vrch, Zdoba and Zvíkovec are located in the vicinity of Slabčice.

Things to Do

The green-marked hiking trail from Nemějice to Tábor Hill is considered short and not difficult. It follows a dirt track to Tábor Hill at an elevation of 504 metres. The green-marked route can be continued from Nemějice to Písecká Smoleč.

The so-called Kuličkovka is located on the final ascent to Burkovák. It was created in 2020.
