Rapšach: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of St. Zikmund in Rapšach was built around 1450 and received a neo-Gothic tower during renovations in 1890. The entire church building is a protected monument.

Culture and History

It is approximately 10 km long and can be completed in several sections. Most of the stations contain questions or tasks, especially for children.

The Geyersteine monument and the Rotes Kreuz and Jägerkreuz shrines are located in the vicinity of Rapšach. Lunkowitzkreuz is a shrine in the immediate vicinity of Rapšach.

Nature and Landscape

The Pískovna u Dračice natural monument is located in the cadastral area of Rapšach, in a former gravel and sand pit. Pískovna u Dračice is home to a regularly reproducing population of the endangered natterjack toad. The area is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists via public paths.

The Dračice area comprises a heavily winding, gorge-like river valley with a riverbed characterized by boulders, a river ecosystem, and associated habitats of protected plants and animals.

The mountains Hoher Berg, Teichberg, and Hofbauernberg are located in the vicinity of Rapšach.

Getting Around

Cycle Route No. 3, “Vitorazská jízda 2018,” passes through Rapšach and is part of a regional circular route connecting České Velenice, Klikov, and the border crossing.

Event

At Rapšašské Zikmundohraní on 1 May 2026, the program begins with a Mass at 8:00 a.m., followed at 9:00 a.m. by a concert by the Rapšašker Chamber Orchestra and Choir, as well as other cultural programs in the village square.
