Dobrohošť U Dačic: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dobrohošť was first mentioned in written sources in 1399. Historically, the village was part of the Bílkov estate. From 1610 until the abolition of the manorial system in 1849, Dobrohošť shared the history of the Dačice estate.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Anne in Dobrohošť was built in 1767 and was originally dedicated to Saint Procopius. The masonry chapel has a rectangular floor plan with a semicircular, non-stepped end and a square turret on the western side. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. The Chapel of Saint Procopius is freely accessible.

Landscape

Dobrohošť lies in a bend in the valley of a small stream that is a tributary of the Vápovka. Above the settlement are the Dobrohošťský les forest and the hill of the same name. The Stařeček elevation reaches 542 m and offers a panoramic view over the broad valley.

Historical Traces and Cycle Route

East of Dobrohošť, the remains of Krumvald Castle lie on a hill. The 38 km-long cycle route No. 5, “Around the Mills on the Moravská Dyje to the Royal Town of Jemnice”, also passes through the village. It runs from Dačice via Staré Hobzí, Jemnice, Chotěbudice, Budíškovice, Dobrohošť and Bílkov back to Dačice.
