Hříšice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

On the “Nejen na Bábu” hike, you take the bus to Hříšice, walk across the village square and along a field path to the Vápovka stream, and then climb through the forest to the summit of Bába.

Landscape

The surrounding area features extensive meadows with the Hřebínky hill; from there, you can enjoy a wide view across a large part of the Javořická vrchovina Highlands.

Near Hříšice lies the Kleniční ridge, which is considered a mountain. The mountains Modrácký kopec, Špičák and Zadní Radlický vrch are also located in the vicinity of Hříšice.

Culture

A chapel stands on the village square in Hříšice, with a square nave and a set-back rectangular chancel ending in a semicircular apse. A monument to those who fell in the First World War stands in front of the chapel.

The chapel in Jersice was built in 1877 in the late Classicist style and dedicated to Saint Juliána.

The churches “U Svatého Křiže” and “U Svaté Magdalena” are located in the vicinity of Hříšice. In the wider region around Hříšice are the castle “Roštejn [Doupě] castle outlook t.” and Landštejn Castle.

Events and cycling tours

Since 2012, the municipality of Hříšice has organized the fairy-tale hike “Procházka pohádkou” for Children’s Day. At various stations, children meet fairy-tale characters and complete tasks, for which they subsequently receive a reward.

The 32 km cycling tour “Za kláštery a kostkou cukru” passes through Dačice, Hříšice and Červený Hrádek.
