Světce: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Světce is connected to Zdechův mlýn, also known as Půlpytlův, by a water mill with a long history: it was first mentioned in writing in 1255. The present-day chapel in Světce was built in the 19th century and continues an older local tradition.

Local history

The water for Zdechův mlýn was brought from the Deštenský stream through a millrace approximately 1.2 kilometres long. The place name also refers to the chapel: Světce developed from the names “U svatého” and “U světce”, which were associated with the image of a saint in a chapel.
