Pohnání combines nature trails, expansive views and lively local life with remarkable cultural monuments. Polánka Nature Park lies within the municipality of Pohnání; three marked hiking trails run through the area. Cycle Route 1172 also passes through Tučapy, Choustník, Radenín, Chýnov, Pohnání and Ml. Vožice and is 36 km long.
Nature and Landscape
On clear days, Šumava and even the Alps can be seen from Pohnání. In addition to the nature park and marked trails, the long-distance views are therefore another specific landscape feature of the village.
Culture
The Church of St. Procopius and its grounds are an immovable cultural monument in Pohnání. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1714, while retaining a Romanesque tower with coupled windows. A Baroque cemetery chapel stands behind the church.
Many cultural events take place throughout the year at the cultural centre in Pohnání. The volunteer fire brigade SDH in Pohnání also contributes to local life with a regular event: it holds a fire brigade ball every year.
Throughout the Year
The tradition of an Easter carol procession is still maintained in Pohnání. Another seasonal feature is Pohnání's fire-water reservoir, which also serves as a swimming pool in summer.
